Dress up your Instagram feed

We all love nothing more than a glimpse into the lives of our favourite fashion folk so thank goodness for Instagram. Make room on your Instagram feed for 6 new stylish people you may not be following yet, but definitely should. From fashion bloggers sharing their outfit of the day to editors and socialites taking pictures of their Alexander Wang pebble-leather ankle boots, this Insta list will introduce you to style stars who’s famous blogs have expanded into mini business empires.

Leandra Medine is an American author and style blogger if there ever was one. The bold New Yorkers famous motto, "Good fashion is about pleasing women, not men, so as it happens, the trends that we love, men hate. And that is fantastic," makes her one of the most influential trendsetters. This statement resonates with me because I do not dress to please people (especially men) nor do I foster the idea that fashion is about pleasing people. The Man Repeller is a humorous website for serious fashion where bold statements are the norm. You’ll find Medine on her Instagram feed rocking androgynous suits and colourful-layered looks without forgetting to slap on a reckless number of accessories. I can picture the reactions of men who might see her walking down the street in something that might look like a Halloween costume to them. Yet, she teaches women not to give a shit what anyone thinks about their outfits, which she exemplified when she wore, a white moto jacket designed by Rebecca Miinkoff on her wedding day.  I strive to one day have the confidence to put pieces of clothing together the way she does.

Chriselle Lim is one of today’s most influential stylists online with 533,414 Youtube subscribers, 27 million views and 300,000 Instagram followers. The social-media-driven star delivers carefully curated photo shoots from her travels, how-to guides, and styling tips. Major brands who have collaborated with Lim include; Coach, Banana Republic, Tiffany & Co., and Victoria’s Secret.

Chiara Ferragni, author, model, spokesperson, and designer, she does it all. Just a few years ago Chiara Ferragni was a fashionable Italian law student with a passion for posting photos of her personal style online. Now, she runs a company worth $8 million. She's been featured on the covers of magazines all over the world and just sat front row at two-dozen New York Fashion Week shows. Her account account gives every fashion Instagramer a little bit of FOMO. Ferragni fashion design collaborations have included work with Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Runny Green Booghers, J Brand and Seven for All Mankind. In 2015 She was listed in the Forbes 2015 30 Under 30 selections.

Julie Sarinana knows how to wear denim cutoffs with a sequin blazer (weird I know). The Cali girl chronicles her daily style that is surprisingly easy to recreate yourself.

Best known for her in-car shots of her daily shoe and bag choice, Chen is the editor-in-chief US magazine Lucky. Follow Chen for the latest from the international front row in fashion and even a few cute pics of her baby Ren.

Arielle Nachmani creator of Something Navy turned posing and posting into a full-time career. Along with her website, Nachmani’s Instagram is simple, it focus is outfit inspiration with a peek into her daily life. The best part, Nachmani can be seen in the majority of her pictures wearing jeans. Styled about 1,000 different ways, she brings jeans back into the forefront of fashion.
